Presidents’ Message		Support CCA with T-shirt
Happy spring! We had the opportunity to represent Coopertown Civic Association at The Haverford Township Civic Council Biannual Organizing Convention on April 20. We learned of some local endeavors and want to pass the info along to you. Fundraising efforts have begun for the new Haverford Township Free Library. There is a talent show to raise funds at Haverford High School on June 6 at 7 p.m. The Heritage Festival will be held on June 7 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. along Karakung Drive. The festival will feature a photography contest. If you'd like to submit a photo you've taken in/of Haverford Township for this contest or sell your artwork at the festival, please contact Tricia Woodman at 610-924-0658 or johnwman@msn.com. There are plans to connect the historic walking trail between The Grange and Nitre Hall with other Haverford Township sites such as the Federal School and Haverford College. A map of this walking/hiking trail should be completed before the end of 2009. Freedom Playground will soon be a reality! Many hands will be needed to make this happen. As soon as we know what the week of construction will be, we will pass this information on to you! ~Jan & Tracy		Congratulations to Sophia Haub, the winner of our T-shirt design contest. Sophia is a second grader at Saints Coleman-John Neumann School. The CCA will be selling T-shirts printed with the new Coopertown design for $8 each, sizes child small through adult XL. The T-shirts cost $5 each to print, and the CCA will donate $3 from each T-shirt sale to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
