The Coopertown neighborhood was orginally settled in 1704. The Coopertown Civic Association is a non-profit community organization that was chartered in 1952 in an effort to build and nurture the community. The CCA provides and promotes programs and activities aimed at encouraging connections between neighbors and fostering civic involvement in our diverse community.

Where Neighbors Help Neighbors
I met Joe, who's from Havertown, of the American Troops Support Team in Dollar Tree. I was behind him as he purchased over $300 worth of items for the soldiers. I thought this seemed like a great way for Coopertown to do a little service project while enjoying our Picnics in the Park & Independence Day Picnic.
We will be collecting “Supplies for Soldiers” at our next three CCA events:

Independence Day Picnic, July 4 @ 10:30am

Supplies for Soldiers
at Picnics in the Park and Independence Day Picnic
The CCA plans to host a games of chance night for neighborhood tweens and teens late this spring. With dealers to help teach games such as blackjack, Texas Hold ‘em and roulette, this could be a fun Friday night activity.
In addition to creating an event specifically for older children, the event would provide a level playing field for kids of all athletic abilities, while honing mathematical skills at the same time.
